LDRS Creative Masking Technique ~ Puppy Time

Hello Friends,
Welcome back friends! Today I have a super easy project using the LDRS Creative Stamping Mask Paper along with the Puppy Time Stamp Set.

As soon as I saw these adorable puppies I immediately thought of using them for a masking technique. This stamp set also INCLUDES the coordinating dies so you get more bang for your buck!

Here is my finished card. These puppies are so adorable. When you mask stamps like this the final result looks as if it was one stamp. It even tricked my husband. Let me show you how easy it really is to do.

Step 1: For this project I used a positioning tool for easier placement but because these are clear stamps it really isn't necessary. I have stamped the bottom dog onto my white card stock (on the right) and then I stamped it again on masking paper ( on left). Fussy cut the masking tape image.

Step 2: In this photo I am placing the "mask" that I fussy cut from the masking paper and I am sticking it down over the stamped image on the card stock.

Step 3: Stamp your second image right on top of the bottom image. When you peel away the masking tape you will see the magic begin to emerge.

Step 4: Next use the masking paper again to mask off the puppy's head so we can stamp the top puppy.

Step 5: Remove the masking paper.

Step 6: Now your little guys are ready to color :-)

Here is a close up of the coloring. I have also used the Dewdrop Border Die
in the background.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. To see more of my work feel free to visit my personal blog.

Hi Everyone,

Super excited to be back today with a brand new Club La-La Land Release. On the 16th of each month I will be sharing with you that current months exclusive kit (for club members only)!! This month's kit has been extra special to me because I love gnomes and fairies. Marci Gnome is ADORABLE and so are her friends!

I am having so much fun designing with this kit. It is a "Gotta Have It" kit that is for sure. when you are a "Club Member" you get access to free tutorials from each of us who are a part of the Club La-La Land Crafts Design Team. These will be exclusive tutorials just for members. This first card is my months tutorial.

This is a center step card. This design has so many possibilities. I had so much fun with all the dies from this months kit as well as the postage stamp set of dies which are from our La-La Land Crafts Online Store.

Here is the side view. This design really give dimension and it fits perfectly in a 6x6" envelope.

Our dies have such detail I just love them!!!

For the next sample I saw the adorable little gnome carrying his light and I thought of a Gnome searching for home so I decided to create a night scene with the adorable mushroom house, his "Gnome Sweet Gnome"

I have used the Club stamps and dies along with the Stitched Nested Circle Dies and the Pierced Scallop Circle Dies as well which are both available in the La-La Land Crafts online store.

With La-La Land Crafts, Our Club materials are not available to the general public for at least 6-12 months from the club release date so rest assured you will be able to enjoy these stamps and dies right along with the design team.... wouldn't you like that? Club La-La Land Crafts ~ April 2018 Exclusive Club Projects

Hi Friends,

I am super excited to announce that I have been chosen to join the Club La-La Land Design Team so each month I will be sharing 2 posts showcasing 4 individual projects using the current month's subscription kit. On the 16th of each month we will have the new monthly kit premier. Unfortunately for April I was unable to participate in this due to my husband having unexpected surgery but click HERE to see all the amazing samples from my talented teammates.

http://www.lalalandcrafts.com/?affid=19

This is April 16th, 2018th. Amazing kit. This was so much fun to design with. The dies are so detailed and are a dream to work with. Along with the above kit of supplies I also used the Nested Frames Large which can be found in the La-La Land Crafts Online Store.

Here is the first project I created. My husband and I just got back from our 25th Anniversary Cruise to the Western Caribbean. While in the Grand Caymen Islands we were able to hold Sea Turtles and all I could think of was this card I had just previously made before leaving town. This was the highlight of our trip and was an unforgettable moment.

For my second project I made a sweet little Lei using the Hibiscus flower dies and colored up the adorable hippo stamps. Are they not precious??

For the hibiscus flowers I simply die cut the flowers and inked the edges and centers with a ink dauber then shaped them using a ball stylus and mat. I added Stickles to the tips of the flowers just to add some extra flare.

Make sure to check back on May 16th for the next Club La-La Land Crafts Reveal. To join ASAP simply click HERE.

Hugs! Melanie

LDRS Creative ~ Creating a Scene Mini Tutorial

Welcome back friends! I am here with you today to share a little Mini Winnie Magic.
____________
I am using this BRAND NEW Polkadoodles "Mini Winnie Boutique" Stamp & Die set. This "Mini" Winnie stamp set is perfect for your A2 size cards.

I have created a step by step photo tutorial to show you how I created this background scene simply using 3 different pieces of patterned paper.
____________
____________

I've chosen pieces of 6x6" paper from 3 different paper packs if you can believe that.... The sun, waves, and then boards. I just came home from a cruise and we did a lot of shopping by the water so I thought I would create a boardwalk/dock with shopping along the water.
____________
____________
Here I just cut between the rays so only the sun remained.
____________
____________
When layering these two layers, which have previously been cut down so they will fit onto an A2 size card (5.5 x4.25"). I then trimmed the rays to meet the waves as shown below.
____________
____________
Lastly glue the sun rays to the background waves/sky paper. and add this piece along with the boardwalk/dock across the bottom. I glued these all to an A2 card base.
____________
To give a separation between the water and the dock I decided to cut 2 strips of brown card stock 1/4" wide. I glued these on top of each other and then glued them over the seam. This just gives a little added dimension.
____________
____________
Once I completed my background I colored my two stamped images with alcohol markers and then die cut them using the coordinating dies which are included in the Mini Winnie Boutique Stamp & Die Set.
____________
____________
Using foam tape I added the Boutique and Mini Winnie to the scene and then simply stamped the sentiment which is also part of the set.
____________
____________
I hope I have inspired you today, and that you will have as much fun playing as I have. These complete sets make creating so easy and stress free. Make sure to check out all of the new items over in the LDRS Creative Online Store.
Happy Creating!

Magnolia-Licious ~ Ready for Spring?

Hi Friends,

I have a super fun project for you today. I have said many times that my first love has always been Magnolia brand products so when I met the owners of Magnolia-licious and was given the opportunity to work with them I jumped at the opportunity.

Today's card is showcasing this adorable Tilda stamp from the "2017 Get Well Collection"

For my coloring I chose to use Copic Markers. Here were my color choices:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21
Hair: YR20, YR21, YR24
Clothes: B91, B93, B95, R32, R37, R39

I have used a bunch of fun dies with this design. "The Old Oak" Doohickey die was used for the Tree but for the leaves and the grass I used the leaves from "The Fruit Tree" Doohickey die. The Lady But and the Logs came from Doohickey Kit #16. Have you heard about the Doohickey Exclusive Kits? This is an limited time club offered ever so often. You can see which current kits are currently available HERE.

I hope I have inspired you to pick up those stamps and dies today and get creating. There is no better therapy. God Bless! Melanie

LDRS Creative ~ A New Idea With the Lock-itz Dies

Hi Everyone! Today I am here with you to share a new idea for when your playing around with your Lock-Itz dies. These dies are actually ON SALE right now just in case you haven't checked them out before.
______________________

The Lock-Itz die line is designed to actually lock together in the center of the card. See them HERE. What I have done is die cut them from white cardstock then I trimmed them down so that there is a straight edge rather than having the "locking" edge. Then I put the straight edge along the outer sides of the card.

Once your pieces are trimmed then glue them to a patterned paper of your choice and trim around the edge of the Lock-Itz die. In this project the paper used is from our Polkadoodles Line and is titled "Pretty Perfect"

LDRS Creative Supply List:
Here is a detailed photo so you can see the beautiful edge. I really love how elegant this card turned out.

I hope this project has helped you think outside the box when designing your next project. Dies can be used in so many beautiful ways. Just a little imagine can transform your projects
Make sure to check out our Clearance sections in both stamps & dies.

Thank you for letting me inspire you today. Have a creative day!

Club La -La Land Crafts ~ Design Team Call.

Hi Friends,

I have something a little different to share with you. I have been a member of LaLa Lands Monthly Club since 2016 close to when it first began. Each month I receive a yummy package with not yet released stamps AND dies. Have you by chance ever seen LaLa Land's dies? If not you best go check them out. They are AMAZING!!!

With Feburary's Club Kit we recieved the items above. I just recently submit my entry into their Design Team Call for the Monthly Club Team. This inspired me to pull out a recent kit and play. Oh my goodness this was fun to color. Here is my project.

All dies except for the border die are from Feburary's Club Kit. The Triangle Lace Border was from the September 2016 Kit... See I've been a member forever - hahaha

Here is a close up of the amazing dies from La La Land. They are so intricuit and always die cut perfectly. For example those tiny die cut pieces in the Triangle Lace Border all poked out with one pass of the Big Shot.

Here is a close up of my coloring. I used Copic Alcohol Markers in the following colors.

Skin E000, E00, E11, E21
Hair: W3, W5, W7
Bubbles: B000, B00
Acents: V00, V04, V06, V09
Wood: E13, E18, YR14, E15, E29

One last look....

I hope I have inspired YOU to dig out those Club Kits and play with them. I waited far too long.... This was such a fun project. Happy Coloring my friends! Melanie

What's Your Style?

Hi Friends,

Welcome back to Fairy Stamp Land. Today I have a really fun card to share with you. I was playing around with some of the brand new products from LDRS Creative. The Polkadoodle Versatile Doors & Window set is super fun and the set has so many possibilities.

I begun by simply cutting the door die from some of this beautiful Country Lilacs also by Polkadoodles. I also used the dies to cut out the windows in the door. The little pieces that were cut from the door were adorable and I immediately thought they were shaped like bricks. So then I just cut a ton of them out and the rest is history. The house now has a brick wall behind it.

I've also used the fence die from the Lamp Post & Railing die set and of course the All Dressed Up stamp is from the "What's Your Style" stamp set.

Here is a close up of my coloring. I used Alcohol markers to color her and I fussy cut her out and used foam tape both with the door to create a shaker card but also with the colored image. The multiple layers really adds interest and dimension.

One last look.... I really love how this turned out and I hope I have helped inspire you to get those stamps and dies out and have a ton of fun with them!!! Melanie

LDRS Creative's Magical Slider Card Die Set

Hi Friends,

Today over on the Little Darlings Inspiration blog I have shared this brand new card design. I recently watched the LDRS YouTube Channel about using the "Magical Slider" card. Have you seen this die set? This set has so many possibilities and can accessorize all your other stamps and dies that you already have. Lets take a look at this Magical set.

When you watch the YouTube video below you will see what the slider card normally does. I did not have transparency film on hand so rather than it be a slider card where your top image is uncolored and your slider reveals the colored image I decided to use it to reveal the sentiment. I just love how it turned out. It fits an A2 size card too which is nice!

Along with the Magical Slider Card die set I also incorporated the Eleganza Stamp & Die set along with the Cotton Candy Paper Stack.

Here is a close up of my coloring. I used alcohol markers as my medium.

Our goal at LDRS Creative is to help encourage your creative side. As always if you have any questions we are here for you. What will you be making today???

Magnolia-Licious Bunny Slippers

Hi Friends,

Today I have such an adorable card for you. Lately I've been noticing that I do not make many get well or sympathy cards so I decided to have this card be a "get well" type of card. I just love the Magnolia Bunny Slippers stamp from the Get Well Collection. I have colored her with Copics in muted tones to match this beautiful paper.

The paper I have used is Lemon Craft 6x6" Heart Painted Paper. Have you seen all the papers we carry over at Magnolia-Licious? They are all yummy.

For the dies I used dies that are from two different Magnolia Doohickey kits. The bunnies are from Magnolia Doohickey 8 and the balloons from Doohickey 5. These are exclusive kits which are only available for a limited time. So make sure to keep an eye out for the new limited time releases when they become available. Currently Vol 19 & 20 are available for preorder HERE

I hope I have brought a little sunshine your world. Make something pretty today! Hugs, Melanie
